Compositing Techniques to Enhance Realism and Mood

• Finally, step back and evaluate the final composite: does it still showcase the architecture well while also evoking the intended emotion? The danger of heavy post-work is losing sight of the architecture. Ensure that all these enhancements are serving the image’s purpose – to highlight the design in a compelling way. If a color grade, for example, makes the materials look wrong (maybe you graded everything so cool that wood looks grey, losing its warmth), you might dial that back. There's always a balance between artistic flair and fidelity to the subject.
